Hi

My Clie N-760C used to Hotsync fine.

Now, the Hotsync Manager does not load into the tray. I use Windows 2000 Professional at work.

The two things that have changed are:

a) Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 has been installed
b) Hyperion Financial Management (accounting package) has been installed

I have tried a complete uninstall of all Palm/Sony software, including deletion of entries in the register and a complete re-installation, to no avail.

Help!

Ralph

I am running windows 2000 with sp 3 so I would not think that is the problem. Not that it couldn't but unlikly.

From reading your post I assume that you are saying that even when you run the hotsync manager from the start menu that it does not appear in your tray. Is that correct?

Does hotsync show up in the task list?

Sounds like it is getting hung up when the manager goes out and looks at the com ports.

What port where you using to sync with before the problem started?

Yes - even when I run Hotsync Manager from the start menu, it doesn't turn up in the tray.

When I hit ctrl-alt-del, it doesn't turn up in the Task Manager - in fact, if I have this open, HOTSYNC.EXE turns up briefly then immediately shuts down in the task manager (never appears in the tray).

I'm using USB, not a COM port.

Thanks - still need help!
