Hi,
I just bought an iPaq 1945. It's expansion is SD interface. There are not much SD interface products on the market (or very expensive). For example: A SD WiFi card will cost around $100. However, a CF WiFi will only cost $25+ w/ rebate. So I was wondering is there any converter that can plug into SD expansion on my 1945, and convert SD to CF interface, so that I can use CF interface products. Does anyone know such a product exist? Thank you!

I am fairly new to the whole PPC thing but I think its safe to say that the answer to your question is no. Part of the way they have kept the price down on the 1900's is the use of only a SD port. If you want the ability to use CF I and II, you will need to step up to a 2215. The 2215 runs about $100 more than the 1945. Either way, it will cost about the same. Go with the SDIC WiFi or get a 2215 and go CF.
If I am off base here, someone please correct me.

A couple of different ways to look at this is wait a little while and the SD devices will come down in cost comparative to CF.
Or you can return your 1900 series for a 2215. The cost is about $100 more but the 2215 comes with a cradle and the 1900 series does not, if you bought a cradle for the 1900 series than the cost difference would be only $50. The 2215 also has a serial port built into the sync connector and the 1900 series does not. The serial connector is used for external keyboards, connecting to your cell phone and GPS. Once again though there are IR keyboards, Bluetooth cellphones and Bluetooth GPS receivers.
I own a 1945 but I have no need for WiFi or GPS or Modem, etc. so the small form factor of the 1945 is perfect for me. It all comes down to what you are going to use it for.
