I guess I should have purchased that 5 user license last week.
It was $999.
Now its $4,000!!!
They must be expecting HUGE demand.

BigDog 10-10-2002, 03:35 PM Hey Pupper14, I think you should open your eyes a little more and maybe read a little slower before you start mouthing off about things that are not true. Go back and have a look at the pricing and this time put you glasses on.. BigDog pupper14 10-11-2002, 08:21 AM My apologies to the board. Take a chill pill Big Dog. Honest mistake. morser 11-05-2002, 08:49 PM I just had a meeting with a Rogers (Canada) rep, and he mentioned that the BES software went up by 300%. Instead of 2,999 it's now 8,000. For me, it could be 12,000 for all i care. It's still fills in a niche. bbtechguy 11-09-2002, 05:14 PM $12,000? For 4 of them maybe. One BES 3.5 shows on the Blackberry site as being $3000. That's for the upgrade over your existing BES. https://secure2.rim.net/storefront/upgrade.asp Maybe Mr Rogers was referring to the fact that you can now install 4 BES's on one server now. Under that logic we'd get to $12,000. morser 11-10-2002, 06:19 PM What do you mean by 1 or 4 BES on the same server? Do you mean that Mr. Rogers meant that it would cost 8,000 for one user to have enterprise services? We don't have BES yet, and when 957's were the latest thing, we were quoted 2,999 for BES. Now when we are getting 6710's, the price is now $8,000 that's all iknow :) I get my 6710 tomorrow. Can't wait. TrueToTheCrew 11-18-2002, 04:24 AM 3.5 BES has allot more than 2.1. MDS. Opens your blackberry up to your entire corporate servers. Youve got web browsing, GAL look up, Intranet, Web Applications can run on your BB. You can develop any type of app for your blackberry. Ie. Point of Sales, Invoicing. Our reps now invoice the customer while they are there. We get paid a hell of a lot quicker. Bes 3.5 pays for itself and then some. Sonic Mobility 11-21-2002, 10:45 AM The BES 3.5 really does turn the BB platform into much more than just an email device. I haven't reviewed the pricing, but I understand that there are still a range of prices to fit the size of organization you are. I agree with some of the other posters: A great deal if you really use it properly! PDA Street
