Tunsten E and modem (normal line)

Hi all,

I'm planning to buy a Tungsten E. But I read that the E don't have the universal connector.
So I want to ask how I can connect to a normal phone line.
Can I use a normal modem with some special cable or are there other modems which could be connected to the E.

The only modems that would work are infrared modems. I doon't know of any that come with drivers for Palm OS5.
