I have done a lot of programming in the past years - a little rusty right now -

Have spent many years using Basic and then Visual Basic -

so now I have a hand held - how can I use VB 5.0 to develope applications for my hand held?

This is all new to me so all help and comments are welcome -
would also like some web links for resources if there are any - not having much luck with that one.

thanks -

These are the links for:
"eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 - 2002 Edition"
which is a large download, 210Mb.
Someone with a Broadband connection could download it.
The program will allow you to create programs for a device such as a Compaq iPaq.
The environment is similar to Visual Basic 6 (I've not used VB5)

This is the main page link: Copy and Paste the link into the browser.

This is the link for the Download, which is on the page:

(This notice is on the Main Page and is a legitimate CD key.

Yes, Microsoft is actually giving it free! Though the download is daunting. I've downloaded it myself and had it working on an XP system.
I hope this helps.

Yes this looks perfect - thanks for the help - :p

I have a big pipe at work that will make the download much faster than my piddling modem here at home.

Maybe you can help me also.

I recently bought a CD of CE utilities. Mixed in with the expected EXE files are some zipped files that contain VB, VBW, and PVB files.

How do I install these files? There are not instructions. My computer does not recognize any of these file types. When I try to extract these files to the synchronized folder, it almost locks up my computer...like they are not supposed to be extracted. I cannot find anything ont hese files but that they may be some type of visual basic programs.

Please help!
