I have an E-100 that works fine, good screen, but it won't charge because someone stuck in the wrong transformer and burnt up that area of the pocketpc....
Seems everything is soldered onto the main motherboard, so, my question:
Does anyone have a good E series motherboard they would be interesting in selling at a reasonable price?

Have you taken the device apart & checked if something is really burned up ?
There are a couple of chip fuses on board specifically to protect your main board from wrong input voltage levels / polarity.
Have your device checked out by a competent technician. It should be a much cheaper proposition than to replace the whole pcb.

There are several scorch marks on the mb, primarily around the a/c jack area. Burnt so bad that the foil is burnt off the board. Of course it won't charge through the cradle either.
I checked with Casio in NJ. The rate they want for repairs is about $70 an hour plus parts. Ouch.
I figured that if someone had a E-100, E-105, E-115, E-125 device with a broken screen, that I might upgrade and fix it in one for a cheaper price.

motherboard is definitely NOT an item you want to buy from CASIO as it will set you back apprx 350-400 US$ !
So the secondhand/defective path is your best bet.
As pmsah informed often some smd 0 ohm resistors or real fuses are used to protect a device from malpractices as you wrote, identifying them should not be a problem for an experienced DIYer in electronics and replacing should not cost you an arm and a leg

Hello,
I had a bad day today because of breaking my screen on my E-125. Of course, it will not work properly now. No other damage to data or the machine exists other than the screen. Can it be repaired? How much would it cost? Where should I send it? Any help will be appreciated as my life will not be back to normal until it is back in my unorganized hands.
