Psion Series 5 -

I have just purchased a Hewlett Packard Notebook and wanted to backup my Psion 5. I downloaded the Software to my HP, but now notice that the nine pin transfer cord supplied by Psion will not plug in to HP's 15 pin receptacle.

Does anyone understand what I just said and where a solution can be found ?

I have contacted Psion and they dont make a USB or compatable cord.

PC serial ports are 9-pin male or, particularly on older machines, 25-pin male.

I am not sure what a 15-pin connector is but it may be a games port or the laptop's monitor connector. It certainly isn't the port to connect the PsiWin cable to. If you don't have a serial port, you will need to use something like a USB "Serial Port Replicator" to give you a serial COM port that you can select in PsiWin Properties.
