i keep getting the same error message "communications error.please check coverage, check that the Host Address in Preferences is correct and try again".what should the address in the host preferences be?is it www.palm.com/webbrowserpro (default) or webpro.palm.com in host address or any address? even if i connect to a local network in my connection edit for preferences it still doesnt work.i havent been able to use my web browser for months now.i would get the message connection established and signing on but the main page wont open.instead itll say "communications error.please check coverage, check that the Host Address in Preferences is correct and try again". im trying to go online on my tungsten t using my sony et68i and bluetooth.

Lol. The stick out tongue smiley has appered because of semi-colons followed immediately by a "p". Just in case you weren't aware, colon "p" (:p) gave you that smiley by accident and the embarrasment smiley was prob caused by colon followed by an "e" but I'm unsure.

thanx for the suggestion but it didnt work. i still get the same error message.im not sure whats wrong.it keeps on saying "communications error.please check coverage, check that the Host Address in Preferences is correct and try again".i think i may need to go down to the place where i bought the palm from and ask them to help.even my photobase is giving me problems. i cant use bluetooth to send pics from my palm to my phone but i can send pics from my phone to my palm using bluetooth.only infra red works from the palm to the phone vice versa. this is so not good

It sounds to me like the host server isn't being reached because name resolution isn't working.

Try downloading a demo copy of Blazer (http://www.handango.com/handspring-UK/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=414&jid=76X36194X3A52D7824DFE5878653DA9B&platformId=1&productType=2&productId=21134&sectionId=0&catalog=1&title=) which doesn't require access to a proxy server and see if you can connect to web sites using that.

If that doesn't work either, then try to connect to Google using its numeric address (66.102.11.99) again from within Blazer.

If it connects then it is the DNS server setup from your service provider that is wrong. If it still doesn't connect then your GPRS settings are wrong (although they look fine to me).
