I have installed the new OS on my NetBook and have managed to get the SMC EZ wireless lan connection functioning at work.

In order to access the web at, say my local airport, I am led to believe that I need an iPass account or similar. I am a bit clueless here.

Exactly how does net login authentication work for public cells like an airport ? Has anyone successfully done this at at any major airport using a Netbook ?

Folks,

After much searching, I was able to locate a link that actually has something http://www.zoo.co.uk/zoo/ipass/using%20your%20series%205%20for%20ipass%20internet %20access.htm

I have not tried this yet, and I suspect much of the information is out of date but it is a start.

ciao

I know nothing at all about this yet, but it's certainly very interesting and a topic that I want to learn more about.

I've moved the thread out of the netBook forum, as it's really about mobile connectivity and will be of interest to the "7Bookers" as well.
