The Palm Store actually shows a Bluetooth bundle with mapopolis and BT GPS receiver. I'd recommend going with a BT device to avoid the cables.

You can also check out Delorme.com. They show a system bundled with an Earthmate unit.

None that I'm aware of but you can check with mapopolis - they may be working on a "wired bundle" that would be less but most receivers will be more than $150.

Check at Magellan and NavMan web sites and see if they have a T3 bundle or stand alone. Magellan does wonderful things with Pocket PC and Ipaq sleeves. Those that I've see are pricey.

My Radio Shack Digitraveler came with a Universal serial cable for palms with universal connector (so I'm all set when I upgrade to T3). Unfortunately they discontinued this unit. FWIW - it was $99 ($69 when it went to discontinued status).

Basically what I'm saying is that any serial GPS "hockey puck" or cheap GPS unit (these run around $100) should work (if it outputs NEMA), but the problem is finding the cable and software. I built my own cable, as Digitraveler didn't come with proper cable for my PDA. Software: Delorme Xmap HH (aka "Street Atlas 2004 HandHeld"), mapopolis, or streetfinder should work for software - try trial versions before commiting to one, as they all have pluses and minuses.

Bluetooth GPS units run $200-$350. If you go this route be sure your T3 can be charged while you use it, as BT zaps the battery. And for extended trips you'll also want to be able to charge GPS unit.

Look at http://gpsinformation.net/ for good info. Watch out some info might be a little dated. PDA stuff is under "GPS hardware and PDA mapping software " section, scroll down until you see it.
