Hi,
I'm just about to order my iQue and want to pick up an SD card for it at the same time.
In terms of memory size, I need to keep all of England and about 6-7 European cities loaded in (and I'll no doubt end up filling up whatever I get with general Palm bits anyway...) so I was going to go for a fast 512MB card.
Is the Panasonic 512MB (RP-SDH512U1A) still the card of choice ?
Next question, can anyone in the UK/Europe recommend a good source for them either in the UK or in Europe/the US whom will ship to the UK ?
Thanks,
Ian

Ian,
I've bought an SD card from www.crucial.com/uk as well as SDRAM for my computer. They are reputable (sales arm of Micron)and post using next day special delivery included free. Order now and it will probably be on your doorstep tomorrow morning! Try coupon code BBUKWEBPROMO for a 5% discount.
I got a 128MB Lexar (panasonic) card from them, though you may find them a bit pricey on the 512MB card compared with prices in the US.
You could have a look at 7dayshop.co.uk for cheaper cards, but I don't know what brands they will be.
If you want England plus a few cities in Europe you may be able to cover them with a 256MB card. A second 256MB card could then be used for your MP3 etc. That would probably be cheaper than a single 512MB since they are still more than double the cost of the 256MB.

Got mine, a 128mb SD, from GPS warehouse.co.uk, very quick and the card is made by Intergral.
www.intergralmemory.com
All I can say is I got most of UK on it and never a problem so far.

Also to other europeans, it would be good to have a supplier of Panasonic cards in the UK since buying over the internet from the UK is fast, cheap and expedient for us. So let the search go on. And I think it should be cards named Panasonic. If you buy a Lexar card, it could be made by Panasonic or someone else.
Best price I found for a 512 MB Panasonic card in Sweden is 345 euros but that includes 25 percent VAT. That would be 420 USD, almost the price of an iQue in the US....
You'd think that flash memory was a commodity and that prices would change with currency swings. Oh no...

Got my SanDisk 256 card from GPS Warehouse. Never had a problem with it so far, but if everyone says go Panasonic which seems to be the sentiment, then I'd say go Panasonic as well. It is faster as well so I've heard.
