Does the Psion Revo allow you to download text files from your PC and to read them on screen? If so about how many words can be fitted on a screen at a time?

Word (EPOC's word processor on a Psion, etc.) allows you to view text files. They can also be imported into Word via the File menu and then edited, etc.

Word does a terrific job of working with them - just be sure to have the .txt extension visible.

As far as amounts of text available, it depends. First, you can hide the top and side toolbars, creating a huge amount of extra screen space. Second, using the zoom silk key buttons and the zoom factor in the view menu, you can control how many words will fit. Font size is also a factor.

With all toolbars hidden, font size at 10-12 and zoom set to 70%, I can see the full width of a page of typed text and approximately 1/3 of its height.

I hope this helps.

Cheers.
