I remember coming across a business card scanner and on the box it featured compatibility with Psion -it came with a serial cable with correct Honda plug. Does anyone know what the name of the product was?
thanks

I think you may be referring to the card scanner available from Psion store (http://www.psion.com/store under accesories). Unfortunately it appears as though only the information scanned (through a PC) is compatible and requires a sync with Outlook.

The psion sold CARDSCAN 600C FROM COREX only connects to your PC and you can then sync your contacts using Psiwin. Costs £230 +vat&delivery aswell so unless you have hundreds of cards to scan, I would go for the manual approach !!

here across the pond there is a little card scanner (from targus i think) that costs about $50-100. i think the interface is either serial or usb but not sure. i recall seeing this product in varius newpaper inserts that advertise computer products. you could try any of these fine providers www.compusa.com (http:\\www.compusa.com or www.staples.com (http://www.staples.com).
