Hi Folks

Its nice to be on board! This is my first post so be gentle!!!!!

Two things!
1. The SX 45 cell phone I use in England has GPRS capabilities. As it is relatively new over here (the O2 XDA is more popular over here). I have found the GPRS setup a bit tricky......Any clues? ideas? on how to get up and running?? I use the Orange Network (like your Sprint over there!)

2. How can I upgrade its software from pocket_pc to Pocket_PC 2002???. Any useful down load sites?

Ciao

Denge.

My only experience with GPRS was using a Motorola cell phone on a desktop PC. It required software supplied by motorola to run on the PC & the phone connected to the PC througha serial port.

I would suggest you contact your GPRS service provider for necessary software for a "Pocket PC 2000 on Mips".

Secondly there is no way you can upgrade to Pocket PC 2002. It is ported by Microsoft to Intel StrongArm processor only. Ongoing Wintel saga !!!!!!!!

Microsoft has also forced the device makers to provide it on flash roms in stead of normal masked rom - continued revenue from OS upgrades regardless of new device sales.

Everyone else is s___ out of luck !!!!
