I've noticed if I leave the Ique on all day and night sitting in the cradle, when the tracklog fills up, the Que will do a soft reset. I can't at this point verify it, but looking at the times it's soft reset during the night and the fact the tracklog is full, I'm just wondering if there might be a connection. Anybody else seeing this behavior?

I've filled my log several times. Didn't cause any reset.

I've filled mine many times, too, with no soft reset.

Well, my seemingly near perfect Que may be experiencing the same symptoms. I'm not certain yet and will verify now that I'm on vacation until after Christmas.
I've had 3 uninitiated soft resets and 1 "needed to take apart stylus" reset in the last couple of hours. The only thing is the track log is full and then I saved it and haven't downloaded it yet.
These are not static resets they have all occurred doing different map tasks without the GPS on. I wonder if I'll have to change my vote in the RMA poll. :(

I've had more soft resets with the thing in the cradle due to something while turned on, but static conditions. I can't see any other thing besides the tracklog filling up, and it's set to wrap rather than stop. Also had my very first static soft reset this a.m. on both the Ique and *me* :-)
I thought also, the agonized squirrel had left me alone, but had one the other day after a hotsync, and required a soft reset to clear. I'm still not contemplating an RMA (yet) anyhow.. things just work too well for the most part.

I hope all of you who have full track logs are obeying all traffic laws and do not get in a bad accident. If not, your friend Betty might just turn on you and become the Prosecutor’s best friend.
I wish there was a way to turn off Que Trip!!

There is but it still doesn't help you with the law if they've got radar or laser - they won't believe the numbers in the trip anyway.....we've got a cop on this board. :D

You are right in that the que would be no help in getting you out of trouble. It could however be presented as evidence in a court if YOU were in violation of any traffic laws.
I just wanted to make the point that if you do exceed the speed limit and cause an accident and injuries that a prosecutor would have little trouble using the que against you. I love my que and use it whenever I travel. I just keep in mind that these gadgets can also have un-intended consequences for the user.
Personally, I wish the person who was speeding and killed my wife had been using a track recording GPS. It is estimated that she was going in excess of 75mph in a construction zone where everyone else was going 25mph. My wife was at the end of the line when this person ran into her.

That's tough and sad.
Certain cars - mostly Corvette's do have on board technology that is typically recoverable that will show the speed of the vehicle and most people don't know this. It is used primarily for diagnostic services and doesn't record a log of the last 1,000 miles but is usually good for about the last 25 depending up year make and model. I only mention this - assuming that it may be used in the future for someone who suffers a similar loss.
Not that it's any consolation - a friend was nearly killed at the bottom of an off ramp. Stopped, hit by a truck doing an estimated 70 mph - driver was on the cell phone and was witnessed by others willing to testify - driver is now attempting to plead temporary loss of conscious caused by a diabetic attack or something.
This is a good safety tip for all posters not to mess with the Que while driving.
Sorry for your loss.

A PDA is a little easier to pick for an investigator to pick up had hold for evidence. However, in a crash the que would probably have a hard reset and would appear not to have any information unless the investigator knew that the important information was in non-volatile memory
