Hi,
I am looking at getting a PPC. I don't want to spend a lot and therefore I am looking at the Axims, as you seem to get the best features for your money. The X3's look good. Please tell me:
Do you think the X3 Pro is worth the extra money from the X3 standard?
Does the extra 100Mhz make much difference?
Why is the newer X3 name "X3" when the old X5 is called "X5"??!!!
Would you recommend an X3 to me, or should I look elsewhere like at an Ipaq?
If anyone knows of any Pocket PC deals online/in shops or anything or offers etc for England, then please tell me too!
Thanks in advance for any help.

I just ordered a X3 standard for myself and my wife. Had a X5 was loaded it was so loaded that it was useless for me to use.I started a new posistion at work and tried to find a X5 300mhz and had no luck they only had X3 in stock. It comes with excel, word, you can sync your mail and view it on your X3. You'll enjoy it

Thanks for the reply!

I have been in to PDAs for a long while (Palms) and am looking at getting a PPC so I can compare the two. I am debating whether I want to get a high-end one, so I can do power hungry things like emulating and video watching, but then again I could save a lot of money and just get a basic old one that's being sold off. I am undecided.
But I would like to know- in comparison can you notice a large difference in app startup time, video playing etc with your 300Mhz X3 as opposed to you X5 400Mhz?
I frequently make use of all the speed available on my Tungsten T3 :D
Thanks

If i were you, I'd be sure and get a 400MHz speed processor in a PPC based unit; If you sometimes max out your T3, I don't think you'd be happy with a lesser chip. PPCs, as you're probably aware, can multitask and the price for this versatility is speed. Be sure and get the fastest processor you can afford if you want to be happy with the PPC format. Even then, it probably won't bring up and switch between programs as fast as the T3 does.
