I've detected that at least in some instances, when a route involves passage from areas, covered by detailed maps, into areas where you have only the basemap loaded, and vice versa, the route will not be correct.

Until the programmers at Garmin have had time to fix this, a working remedy is to manually insert viapoints at, or at least near, the borders between the different map regions. Place these points where you want your route to pass, of course. They say this requires a rather major rewrite of the code, so it may not be corrected in release 3 either.

Also, at least with the CS 5 maps in Sweden, there is a problem with some tunnels and QueTurns. If a route passes such a tunnel, and you open QueRoutes, the iQue may lock up.
This will probably be corrected in release 3.

Thanks for the heads up. When you say not accurate-are we talking about a minor inconvenience or more like sending you to Stockholm from Copenhagen by going through Brazil?

I posted this early on - sorta - I noted that the Que would not route me from Modesto to Hawaii. It went into a Star Trek "temporal" loop and wouldn't come out without a soft reset.

But I didn't have the blue charts loaded.....was that the problem? :D

Seriously thanks for the headsup Anders. :)

I didn't write "not accurate". I wrote "not correct", which describes it properly. I tried from where I live (southern Sweden) to some places in Norway.

One of the more curious routes started following detailed map roads to Gothenburg. There it suddenly ended, but another route, created on the basemap, picked up already 150 km south of where the first one ended, and continued, first in parallel, then on its own, to the target.

Trying to look at the turns in QueTurns crashed the iQue, due to problems with the tunnel attribute on the maps.

Anders, that chinches it. We're definitely not going to have Moose's 1000 post party in Sweden. We might get lost.
