I have recently installed broadband and a Microsoft wireless network (802.11G wi fi router) at home and have 3 desk top PC's happily running.

I now could do with some advice on the following:

What card do I need to get to run my MBook on this wireless connection (including brand and spec)?

I have Opera v3.62 release 1.04 though I have found it to be a bit unreliable on my old dial up (56k Gold Card). On some sites I get the error message "Does not support multiple windows"

Can anyone suggest the best browser for the MBook and confirm the shortcomings (compared to say using a PC and Internet Explorer)?

Is there a way of using a 5mx and the same wireless network web connection as the MBook?

I'm based in the USA.

Many thanks,

Grant

It appears I should have posted this eleswhere - maybe the moderator could send this to the WiFi board (I tired deleteing but it would not let me).

If it is possible to have two versions of Opera installed. I'd go for opera 5.14 as it support multiple windows and many other features that 3.62 does not. Only minor problem is .jpgs are not displayed as clearly, but at least it works.

you can read about the compatible wi-fi cards at the following link:

it is actually Yan's excellent site: follow carefully his instructions and you'll be happy browsing with your EPOC machine:)

you will be able to find many posts concerning the various compatible brands on psionplace. I am using a Belkin card, which I happened to find right in the nearest shop... but If I had to buy it today I'll be looking for the Buffalo one which has been mentioned a lot of times here...

just in case they may be of your interest, here are a couple of interesting pieces concerning netBook and wi-fi:
