From official Palm website:
Performing a Hard Reset
With a Hard reset, all records and entries stored in your handheld are erased. Formats, preferences and other settings are restored to their factory default settings. You can restore any data previously synchronized with your computer during the next HotSync(r) operation. You should re-install your 3rd party applications unless you are using Palm OS(r) 3.3 (or higher) or a third party backup solution that automatically backs up and restores installed applications. Never perform a Hard reset unless a Soft or Warm reset does not solve your problem.
To perform a Hard reset, do the following:
1. Hold down the power button on the front panel of the handheld.
While holding down the power button, use the tip of an unfolded paper clip (or similar object without a sharp tip), to gently press the reset button inside the hole on the back panel of your handheld.
2. Release the reset button.
3. When the Palm logo appears on the screen, release the power button.
4. When the message appears on the screen warning that you are about to erase all the data stored on your handheld, do one of the following:
Press the page up button on the front panel of the handheld to complete the Hard reset and display the Digitizer screen.
Pressing any other button performs a Soft reset.
.............
Hope that helps you out.

yup thats how to do a hard reset but try just a soft reset first, just pull the camerea down and insert a paper clip in and push dont touch the power button!! turn it over and see if it starts back up. if not do a hard resest, a hard reset is onnly reserved for dire emergencies. it will return your palm to the factory settings with and you will have to do a hotsync to get it all back.
