Frog Impression

Hi,

My S3c makes a noise like a frog croaking when I open it and close it (at about 10 degrees from shut). Can I do anything simple to make this better?

My 3a always did it, my 3c still does it and, as far as I know, all of the models based on that particular clamshell make the creaking noise when opened/closed.

It may eventually stop if you open/close it often enough but, by then, the screen and battery cables will have disintegrated anyway ;)

I believe it is the spring mechanism that is doing this and my 3C does it too!
