Yeah, I have yet another Schedule problem.
A few days ago, Schedule quit working on my Win98 desktop. It had been running just fine and synching with my Velo 1 using HPC Explorer with no problems. Suddenly whenever I tried to start Schedule, it locked up no matter what I did. I hadn't installed any new programs or otherwise made any changes to the system.
Well, that hard disk had other problems, so I changed it for a new 20-gig drive and installed Schedule onto the new drive. Same exact problem. I've installed from two different install disks, completely uninstalled and reinstalled, installed to different directories, and installed both with and without my own SCD files. Every single attempt has locked up and I have to alt-control-delete to force end-task.
Has anyone had this problem, and how did you fix it?

Hasn't anyone else had Schedule problems? I've even reinstalled Win98 (first edition) and had the same problem -- worked for a while but had problems with HPC Explorer but then quit working and just locks up when I try to start it, no matter how many times I uninstall and then reinstall it.

Hi Sylvia:
Didn't we talk once before? I've just picked up on your query. If you haven't tried it, download AutoSync from the Microsoft website (or e-mail me and I'll send you the zip file) and install it - it may well solve your problem.
Cheers,

AutoSync only works with the Velo 500. I use a Velo 1, so it won't do me any good. (Yes, I've tried.)
Actually, I got Schedule working on my desktop -- but now HPC Explorer thinks Schedule isn't installed so it won't sync. I haven't messed with it any more because at least it IS working on the desktop, and when I couldn't get in at all, I was basically functioning with no brain.

Hi Sylvia:
I use AutoSync with my Velo 1, no problems. I think you have to be using CE 2.0 or higher and I think you probably need the smart card RAM installed - mine came free with my Velo 1 upgrade kit which was included with the machine when I bought it.
I suggest you completely uninstall your Windows CE, re-install it from your CD and then unzip and install AutoSync. I am going to e-mail you the version I downloaded from the Microsoft site which is the one that works on my laptop (work) and PC (home).
It changed Windows CE Services and removed Schedule 7+ on the laptop (but not the PC for some reason) and works perfectly on both machines.
You may need to set up a new partnership between your PC and your Velo 1 and make certain the baud rate is the same for your serial port and Velo 1 (19,200).
That ought to do the trick but, if not, come back to me via e-mail and we'll see if we can sort it out.

Perhaps that is the difference. I'm still using WinCE 1.0 and have no interest in changing to 2.0.

Hi Sylvia:
I believe you are correct - you need be running Version 2.0.
If you change your mind, I may have a spare copy you can have. I have 2 Velo 1's, one of which is bust but it came with CE V 2.1
