hey people,
I just bought a 3635 used from a friend and it didn't have media player on it. I've been trying everywhere to find it. I've downloaded the 7.1 from microsoft but it keeps saying that my device isn't supported and some other crap. Anyways, if any of you have any insight on the subject or have encountered similar issues and could give me some advice that would be great. Thanks.

What version of PocketPC are you running 2000 or 2002?

Greetings;
I bet he is running PPC 2002 because the system upgrade does not install Media player on the ROM. I have a 3635 and my media player is installed on my CF card because of all the space required, if I remember right around 3-4MB.
Please post your PPC version, because if you are running PPC2000 there might be a problem with your ROM.

I'm running PPC 2002 version 3.0.11171. It's possible that it was upgraded from 2000 to 2002 but I'm not sure......I downloaded "withMp3" last night and that seems to be a really cool program for mp3's but it's like a 60 hour trial or something stupid. alright, thanks.

I would agree that he's running on a 2002 system that was upgraded.....the upgrade disk has Media Player on it, and it is also available as a free download from somewhere....for the life of me I can't remember where....if it's still an issue, I'll find the link and get it for you...let me know.....there are, as you mentioned at least a couple other MP3 solutions available.....
