I have been using a Vx for a couple of years and have just bought an m515. Expense no longer appears on the pda OR on the Palm Desktop program that came with it. This was just about the most used application on my Vx. How do I get it on the 515 and Palm Desktop ?

I'm just wondering, what desktop version do you use? I sent the expense program to you in an email, but you will probably need a new desktop version to get it to synchronize.

PDASROCK, Many thanks for such a quick reply! I checked the version, it is 4.0.1 which came on the CD in the 515 box. The local Palm supplyer simply said that expense is no longer included, but gave no reason.

I checked my email, but haven't yet received yours, but will check again later.

Yes, sorry about the email, I didn't know you would respond so fast. I wasn't able to get the expense program off of mine the way I had hoped (it is in flash, so it is difficult to work with), but I will send it as soon as my palm finishes it reset.

I just wonder about Palm Desktop though. I had 4.1 working fine on my XP Pro system with the Vx, but the instructions I received with my 515 said that i MUST use the desktop software that came in the box with the 515. As I mentioned, this does not show the expense app on the PC. I refer also to a posting about XP Pro on this board, maybe you could lok at that too !?

I have 4.1 working with my US M515, and it (and Expense) works fine, but I don't use XP.

Many thanks for the expense app. All working fine now, but I had to get the 4.1 Palm Desktop software to see the expense button.

Alright then! Glad to help. So you did not need a special version of desktop after all? Yeah, figures, half the people packing and selling this stuff haven't got the faintest idea what their talking about.

From the postings it seems that expense is not included in Palms sold outside of the US. Does anyone know the reason for this ? I would like to hear from the Palm people. Do they monitor this site, I wonder ? It really is such a good app.
