Hi there,
i am after buying a pda to listen to mp3's, wmas, watch divx or mpeg, looking at pics, listen/watch streaming media over a wireless connection from my desktop, straight off the internet or off my TV & radio cards.

Now i was wondering what processor would be able to cope with this.

Essentially, its going to be a multimedia PDA, and i want a HP series PDA, but it comes down to memory and processor.

WOuld the 203mhz processor cope?

Many thanks

Stuart

Happy xmas and new year!

All of the current ipaq models(1930,1940,2210,4140,4350,5550) can do what you want, as long as the bit rates and the resolution of the audio and video files are not extremely high.

how high a bit rate would i be able to put on the H1930 with the 203mhz processor.

I would like the 2210 but it seems to lack a infrared port.

There's some guidelines for video files here:
http://www.pockettv.com/encoding.html
For audio, you should not have any problem with anything below 256 Kbit/sec.

ipaq 2210 does come with IR port, it's also a consumer grade(capable of remote control) and come with Nevo remote control software,
