Upgrade or not?

I'm considering upgrading my S7 to a 7book .

However after reading the tales of woe from some unfortunate people here i'm wondering wether its worth all the hassle of not . Do the benefits of a 7book outweigh the potential grief involved?

Has anyone actually managed to upgrade without suffering system failures endless beeps and god knows what else??

I have upgraded my Series7 to a 7Book. It was a perfectly uneventful upgrade, and yes, I believe the benefits are huge: -

- 60% faster (TomTom maps especially seem much faster)
- Upgraded OS
- More stable, no more KERN-EXEC errors
- Ability to use ethernet cards, WiFi, GPRS etc
- Ability to go to 64Mb RAM

I upgraded to be able to use WiFi cards.
The upgrade itself was straight forward.
It also runs faster which helps.
