So I just got a wi-fi PDA.. Toshiba e755, and want to squeeze it into my home network. Tricky part is... my home network is not the most suitable for this.
Right now I have 2 computer hooked up with a crossover cable. The internet is shared between the two, with this one being the host... of a dialup connection.
So I bought (really cheap) a Uniden Wireless DSL/Cable Router with built in 4 port ethernet switch, with the hopes of just using it as a hub/switch and just using the wireless part as an access point.
I was wondering what exactly i must do to the router settings and to each of the individual computers and PDA in order to make this set up work.
I also got a Uniden USB 802.11b adapter (it turns out to be free after rebates) to have as a backup just incase the router doesnt work then I can just do ad-hoc mode and share the connection. Unfortunately... my pda can not see the usb adapter and vice versa.
does anyone have any suggestions at all?
thanks
