Hi

I have a Psion Revo and have installed the PC Connectivity CD on my laptop. I am trying to synchronise the laptop contacts and Agenda with the Revo. 50% of the time I get a message when it finishes stating 'The synchronisation did not complete successfully, there may be errors.' Even when it does complete successfuly it is not bringing over all of the contacts. It seems to have brought over the Agenda items alright. Could this be anything to do with the fact that I have Windows XP on the laptop?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Well, the first thing to do is to make sure that you have PsiWin version 2.3.3 if you're working with Win XP. If you installed from the CD that came with the Revo, then you probably have an earlier version.

I have PsiWin 2.3. How do I get 2.3.3? Firstly, check to see which version of 2.3 you actually have. Go to:

"Start > All Programs > PsiWin 2.3 > PsiWin Readme"

Open that text file and see which version it 'Welcomes' you to. If it is an earlier version, download 2.3.3 from www.psion.com/MyPsion/Login.asp , uninstall the present version, run the PsiWin registry cleaner, attached below, and install 2.3.3

Mike's advice and info is spot on - just thought I should point out that you need to be prepared for a large download as it's almost 25meg.

I'm hoping you have broadband!

Thank you very much to both of you. After several attempts to download the software (I do not have broadband) and a couple of frustrating synchronisation attempts it appears to work properly now. The download and removal/installation was smooth, but when I synchrinised it still did not work. I then deleted all the contacts in the Outlook contact list and tried again. This had the desired effect. I now have a synchronisation. Thanks very much.

if you get any further problems, there are a couple of sync updates available at Psion's site.
