I recently purchased a sony Clie NR70V, I noticed that it had a blue spot on the screen when the screen was displaying black. I guess this was due to a faulty pixel on the screen. I returned this unit only to find the second replacement unit suffered from the similar problem. I returned this unit and purchased another unit from a diffrent shop only to find this was even worse it had 2 faulty pixels.

Has anybody else suffered from the same problem ? or am I unlucky to get three faulty units ?

Or has Sony's Qa gone down hill.

Or Do Sony think this is acceptable - because I certainly don't - as a screen of this size shoulds not have any dead pixels.

I'll be exchanging this unit today, and if I am unlucky to find this also suffers from the same problems, I will getting a refund :(

I too got a bad pixel when i bought my first nr70V. it was white no matter what was being displayed. I returned it to circuitcity where I bought it from and the second unit was just fine. Maybe you just had a bad ru of bad screens. Hope you have better luck this time!!

I have one that has a, shall I say, "temperamental" pixel. It works about 95% of the time, so it really doesn't bother me. I found that if it gets stuck in the "off" position(red), I can switch to a program and then back to the launcher screen and it usually goes away. I had seen some in various store(Best Buy, Circuit City, Comp USA) that had display models with bad pixels. I'm not sure if Sony's Quality Checks are working correctly......:(

Bought mine 4 weeks ago, no bad pixels at all.
Maybe there was a bad batch of displays.
