Struggling with this. Can hotsync the UX50 wirelessly no problem.
But cannot get NetFront to work and access the web.
Has worked a couple of times but then without changing anything on the desktop with the broadband connection I get the message "Error. Invalid network settings."

Has anyone else had this problem or do they know of a solution.

Your help would be most appreciated.

Hi!
My case is actually the other way around. I had no problem connecting netfront to the internet but could not get the clie ux50 to sync through the network and do not know what else to try.
Any help?

Try this.

Hope it helps. Excuse the simplicity if you have already tried this.

On HotSync screen select "Modem" not "Local"

Hit preferences button (or HotSync in top left hand corner) and modem sync prefs
Select "Network" and Ok

Hit prefs again and LANSync prefs
Select "LANSync" and Ok

Hit prefs again and Primary PC Setup
In primary pc name input "!!"
In Primary PC Address put in the TCP/IP address of your computer.
Leave subnet mask empty

Hope this helps.

Wow - I just started not being able to connect to wifi at home last night and found your reply and tried it and, omg, it works. I didn't even have to enter anything under primary pc section. (I hesitated to do that not knowing if it wuld effect things when I am out and about) Thanks.:D

I tried your setup and, omg, it works for me too!. But seriously, why did you use !! instead of the name of the computer?

Does anybody else think that their wifi is faster now that they have changed the settings? I do but don't know if it is my imagination or not. And I really would like to understand why we had to change the settings and why it worked. Care to explain for us?

!!
This allows you to sync with two different computers without changing the name each time.

But why did we suddenly have difficulty just logging on to the net before and easy as pie afterwards. Not the same as syncing with 2 computers, in my head anyways.
