Everytime I try to save over about 50 megs to my 256 meg SD card it does not take. I can save smaller maps, but not large amounts. Nothing else is on the card so there is plenty of room.
Any idea's?

What kind of card? I have a 200 MB file on my 256 MB toshiba card. No problem.

I am having a similar problem with a 512MB Sandisk card, it recognizes the basemap but does not recognize the detailed maps. The detail map size has been as small as 300MB. I have tried loading to a card reader as well as loading through synchronization, nothing works.

If you search this forum you will see "problem" and "Sandisk" in many of the same posts. That's my guess.

Yes, unfortunately Sandisk has sporatic success with the iQue.

Several threads, but get a Panasonic or Toshiba card (the chip, not the SD manufacturer) for almost guarenteed bliss.

I use a Sandisk 256MB card and I experienced the same problem, I had to put the basemap back on the garmin internal memory and I have a 86MB detailed map on the SD card. I have not been able to run both on the SD card..
