SD memory cards

Why does a 64MB card only show room for 6MB? Is my ipaq not recognizing the card?? One .pdf file filled my card (5,000 KB's)

I have a ipaq 3800

I would get a SD card reader and format it, then look again. I had some weird problems with mine, but all was well after I formatted it.
