Palm III dies unexpectedly

Hi all,

My Palm III dies unexpectedly and I can't see any pattern to it. It seems to be unstable. I will use it for a few weeks and then when I go to turn it on one time it won't turn on. The batteries are ok.

I end up having to push the reset button and take the batteries out to get it to turn on again. Do I have a bad PDA? Or is it maybe an application issue?

If anyone has found this problem (and hopefully an answer too) I would like to hear what you have found.

Have you done a warm reset? A warm reset is similar to the simple pin in the hole reset with the exception that you wan to hold the scoll up button down and then push the reset. Let go and see if the unit works. If it was being conflicted by a software issue this may give you a temporary fix but the offending software needs to be removed.

Have you done a Hard Rest and then not reinstalled any apps to see how long it works trouble free?
