Since both your PA's comp and your comp are connected to the same network. Logically speaking, it's much easier to get both the comps to share the Outlook address book, tasks, calendar via the network. So you can sync your iPAQ from your workstation via your cradle and your PA can access your address book, tasks, and/or calendar without needing the iPAQ to be sync at your PA's desk also.
Plugging and unplugging the USB cradle doesn't exactly help with it's connector's lifespan (higher wear and tear).
In Outlook: File->Share-> Calendar/Tasks/Contacts (whichever one you want to share via the network)
This way you can pick and choose which one you want to share and which one you want to keep private.:)

The way they do it at my job is in two ways (both work):
1. They use a utility called Syncal which basically uploads and syncs the calendar on a database or website.
2. Both the boss and the assistant both have cradles: the boss is setup like a typical owner of an Ipaq. The assistant is a little different: the person would still have Activesync to make the connection between PC and handheld to establish handshaking, but then they would use a secondary application called Intellisync for PPC's that would sync the specified categories to the assistants Outlook.
