I'm looking for some (cheapish Storage upgrade) and I can't decide which is best.

I currently own a 64MB CF Card, and 2 16mb SDs

ByteStor 128MB SD (Secure Digital) Card £33
Viking 256MB Compact Flash £35
Viking 128MB MultiMedia (MMC) Card £23

I'm temped to get the MMC, as I have around £25 at the moment and later on I can buy a 512MB CF Card.

Those are good prices, but isn't MMC supposed to be slower then both SD and CF?

Indeed MMC is much slower - apparently.

It's just that, I have around £40 now.

So should I buy a 128MB MMC now,
and get a 512mb CF later.

Or should I buy a 256MB CF now?

Are the prices of CF(s) likely to fall? £70 is a bit much.

aside from the speed, what are the differences between the three? SD, MMC, CF

A pretty good guide to the different types can be found here:

Hope this helps.
