New to wi-fi Programming

Hi All,
I am new to wi-fi technology.
I have to develope an application which will transfer data from wi-fi enabled PDA to a Windows 2000 system.
How should i proceed?
What things i required to setup wi-fi communication?
It's very urgent pl reply me soon..

i'm now facing the same problem you've faced before
i'm required to connect a PDA using wifi, and i don't have a device to test on.

is their an emulator that can emulate the PDA's wireless network on the PC's wireless adaptor??
