I have a question for my fellow T3 users, most likely a stupid one but this has eluded me since I purchased it a week ago. Before my T3 I was running a Sony TJ35 that was a good enough PDA but very quirked out (screen blankouts and hard resets often) I could back up all my data easy to the memory stick and after a hard reset bring it back to last backup easily. I can not find the SD memory backup utility for my T3, I imagine there is one but for the life of me it has eluded me so far, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Cothrom

There is a company called jkware that have a T3 CardBackup version (Backup Buddy has problems restoring certain files and I found it UNRELIABLE).

Not only that, but Jason at jkware was kind enough to post the T3 SD Card problem with links on how to fix it.

I purposely did a Hard Reset on my T3 (and the 505 before it) and used "restore" to TEST IT THOROUGHLY (you might as well know!!) -- results were perfect, no glitches.

It allows for up to 8 backup copies and selection of which files are to be backed up. I would recommend you do all of them unless you're concerned with privacy issues, say on a spreadsheet. You can calendar them (I have one at 5AM with auto shut off, a second at 5PM with NO AUTO SHUTOFF inc case I'm working on something), saved to TWO DISTINCT SEPARATE FILES on the SD Card. I found it to be flawless, reliable and easy. I'm backing up twice every day, automatically, and the process with auto shutoff takes 4-8 seconds, depending on how many apps/databases have been altered in the previous 12 hours.

It is $11.95 and Jason is absolutely fantastic. He's gone to a lot of time and trouble to MAKE SURE the T3 version wasn't glitchy. I deleted Backup Buddy.

I am using back up man and like it a great deal. It should be installed on both the card and in Ram in order to do scheduled backups... mine backs up at 3 am

It works flawlessly
If Jason was the gu who [posted the first T3 fix and his program works well, see above post, then I wish I had purchased his. He deserves our support

Maybe you are refering to the Backup folder that is inside your User folder?

No, With the Sony and I noticed a few other PDA's they have a back up utility built into ROM, I figured Palm built PDA's had that feature too and thought I was just overlooking the obvious. It is a aftermarket one I see now that you use with the Palms, which is no problem to me as long as it works. I did hard reset and restored off Backup Buddy, all the pertinate files I needed were back, I am happy.

OK, sounds like the built in System Restore function on a PC. Thanks for explaining.
