My iPAQ seemed to be working flawlessly, until I installed Animated Themes. First I noticed that my music was "breaking up" and was no longer enjoyable to listen to. From there I uninstalled all animated themes. The problem seemed to be gone until this morning, when I found my iPAQ had no battery power left, even though it had been on the cradle all night. Today, during the day I got several messages saying that I should either replace the battery or follow the instructions on how to recharge it.

What is your ipaq model number and how old is it?

The iPAQ model information is required to help you. Have you tried resetting the device, then plugging the power plug into the iPAQ rather than charging on the cradle?

I don't know how to use this forum, so I will assume this is where I answer you. My iPAQ is a 3955. Yesterday at noon one of my alarms suddenly went off and the iPAQ seemed to work perfectly. I plugged in a remote speaker ands the sound was great until I unplugged it and then the sound wouldn't come back on for several hours. Today it is working great. Thanks for your suggestions. I guess now I will just wait and see .

Check the volume doo-hickey (sorry if my language is overly technical) next to the clock in the Navigation bar, or go to Start, Settings, Sounds and Notifications to see what the volume level is set to. The volume might be getting changed by your programs.
