Word is suddenly crashing!

After using my Mc 218 almost 1 year, suddenly Word has begun to crash!

I cannot realize any reason since I haven't done anything special!

Sometimes, while typing, the application is terminated and all data lost.

Sometimes, when opening a document, word says "file corrupt".


Anyone with a similar experience?
Any known reasons or maybe other applications that can cause errors?

first thing to do would be to do increasing levels of reset (see my FAQ at URL below).

the other thing would be to delete the file 'Word' in your Documents folder - this is where Word stores the text of a new file until you give it a name and save it somewhere - maybe this file now contains corruptions.

In general, I think it a good idea to do a complete backup once in a while (ideally when the machin is in good order!), remove all the batteries to return it to factory defaults, then reinstall your updates and apps, and restore your data.
