Finally got all my data and apps from my Palm III over to my iQue.
First night I left it out of the cradle. I guess it's possible that I left it on by accident but the next morning it was totally dead, lost all my data and 3rd party apps. Luckily, I had backed up to the SD card using BackupBuddyVFS Lite and was back in business.
Two observations. Yesterday about lunchtime the battery was already down to 66%. I was mostly using the adddress book and Datebk5. I did simulate driving 2 or 3 short routes showing off to my co-workers but the GPS was never on. Is this battery usage normal?
Second, I have the clicking noise when the unit is on. Don't think it's happening when the unit is off. Happens about every 15-20 seconds or so. I e-mailed Garmin. They said that they had never heard of that problem but gave me an RMA # and said I'd be without it for 10-14 days.
I guess I'm leaning towards sending it back since I've just started using it.
Should I send it back or is the clicking noise something I can live with? I've searched the forum and it seems like others are experiencing the same clicking noise.
Thanks.
Scott
