Does any browser support fullscreen on IQ?

Thank you for your answers

I believe that the Palm Web Pro 3.0 from Palmone supports full screen. I use the 2.1 free from the tungsten update (on the boards somewhere how to get it). its notfull screen, but runs fine, and gfx are pretty good. Are you looking for wireless browsing, offline browsing, or doc viewing?

PS PWP 3.0 costs about 30 bucks

Can someone confirm that PWP 3.0 works fullscreen? I would hate to spend $30 to learn that it doesn't. What about landscape mode?

It would be great if someone would develop a browser that works nicely in both portrait and landscape, even simulating the landscape mode on devices that don't natively support it (like the iQue).

Doesn't work on the Garmin. I had it, then had an arduous time getting a refund from Handango. The authors wrote back to say it's only designed to work on APalm PDA ... not third party "Palm based" PDAs.

Really, beacuse Palm Web Pro 2.1 (from the tungsten update) works perfectly...what exactly went wrong? Error messages? Resets?

Are you really using PWP 2? PWP 1 is also in the update.

Xiino is little bit cheaper than WebPro 3.
Both can be displayed in full-screen, if you have codediver.

rururu,

The price difference is mall between PWP 3 and Xiino. Did you use both so that you could tell what you like and dislike with both?

I did some testing today...

I paid Palm for PWP 3.0 and gave it a try. It turns out that rururu (who claims it works) and puglet (who claims it does not) are both correct.

While the software runs, and even in full screen mode with codediver b6, it keeps reminding you that "You are not authorized to run this application."

The funny thing is that it continues to work, perfectly, as long as you ignore that message. The problem is that this message appears constantly - at startup and whenever you click on any link. Even worse is that it beeps. So you have a very annoying (yet technically functional) web browser.

Great for proof of concept, but not suitable for real use.

I'm off to try Xiino...

I wonder if rururu has a work around for the nag message and beep with PWP 3? I think he would have mentioned this nuisance if not. BTW, why shouldn't Garmin provide the iQue with a working full screen browser...???!!!

I'm sorry I haven't used both intensively. just tried if they work or not. I haven't known about the annoying message of WebPro3.
You can try out Xiino before you buy it. It's a great browser specialized in off-line browsing.
Opera is also coming out soon.
