I recently installed the trial version of TextPlus on my T2. It isn't what I wanted on investigation and I have attempted to delete it. The "Delete" function in the T2 will delete the TextPlus data base but it will not delete the TextPlus Applications file. When I attempt to delete it the screen says, "Error - Unable do delete TextPlus"
Any ideas as to how to kill this thing would be appreciated.
You might want to try an unistall program like Uninstall Manager.

Or a warm reset. That should let you delete it.

I have found that there is no magic about Uninstall Manager, so long as you have "SysTool" (freeware, 11k) to actually read your saved and unsaved prefs file. TextPlus is very similar to a data protection program called "Top Secret;" you have to disable, then do a SOFT RESET as the person above said correctly, then IMMEDIATELY delete with the launcher.
I remember playing with that app and it refused to delete the "remnants" so I did a hard reset. That is really quite awful, unnecessary and nasty just to get rid of a remnant.
It would also be an excellent test for Uninstall Manager, which (at least to me, I may be wrong) gives you a glorified list of what's on the Palm but doesn't really do anything the launcher doesn't do for you anyway -- that's why you delete with the launcher and not a file utility, which may leave "things behind." VERY few programs leave something behind in Saved prefs (I've tested), other than Handmark; that's so you can reinstall the app later and not have to register it (always wondered how WordSmith knew It had been used on my Palm before!) If you read and learn the Saved prefs, usually a 4 digit "ID" of letters and punctuation, you get to know what's "foreign" and what's related to your products (usually registration info). Delete the wrong saved pref and you'll have to enter your registration again or choose settings (Agendus, for example, has FIVE saved pref entries).
A hard reset will definitely fix it, but be sure before you restore from a Card or hotsync that you delete TextPlus so it doesn't just get "shoved" back on your unit.
Take care

Warm reset did the trick! Thanks for the help.
