Has anybody out there used LauncherX? How do you use the "Homer" button?

I got hold of a beta version. I like the skins feature, but the 4 skins included were not that great.

This software product is still in beta. The Homer button is not enabled.

The only beta's available are for a select group that are beta testing the app. Some people have put copies on some web sites but they are not really sanctioned and they usually are old and not representative of where the latest version is at.

They are not accepting any more people to do the testing. This has been going on for a few months now, so hopefully the release is getting close.

I've got a Clie N760C which I've used Launch III on successfully.
After buying the Launcher upgrade, installing and registering Launch X, I receive a Fatal Alert.

Here's what it says: SystemMgr.c, Line:185, Unimplemented. It happens when it's scanning for my apps. It does not complete the scan before this alert pops up and I have to do a hard reset. I've sent a note to tech support but so far they've been too busy to answer. I'm disappointed. Any thoughts?

Funny, the same thing happens to me when I put in YiShow (another launcher, apparently optimized for Clie's).

There are 4 different versions of LauncherX. I installed LauncherX.prc onto my Prism, and it works fine. There is LXSonyStandard.prc, which I thought was for high-res Sony's. My guess is that one or the other will work for you.

I just read the manual :o

Seems LXSonyStandard.prc is a high res skin. LX is supposed to work on a Sony without it.

There is also a note that says that LX needs OS3.5 or above, but won't work on PalmIII upgraded to OS3.5

It doesn't say anything about a 760.

I figured out what was wrong with the installation. I had the hack TrapWeaver enabled. Once I disabled I was able to install and customize everything. I really like the graphics and skin options although I did use one skin that came with the program. I'm very pleased.

Launcher X Rocks!
