Hi. I am new to the 5810... I got one from work this week that was used on the Voicestream network. I presently have ATT service and want to Unlock the 5810 so I can use it on ATT. Anyone know if this is possible and how to go about it? Blackberry support said to call VS and ask them to unlock. Any clue if they would do it?

Send an email to simunlock@t-mobile.com and request the unlock code. You will need to provide them with the IMEI number and possibly a valid T-Mobile accouint/phone number. I know they will provide unlock codes for multi-band phones, I don't know about single band, although you could say you are going to Canada and want to use pre-paid service there.

I have requested unlock codes from TM many times and after a couple of days you will get an email with the code and instructions on how to enter it. You will need a non-T-Mobile SIM card to complete the unlocking.

Thanks! I emailed them, I got the unlock procedure in about 48hours.

I also need a unlocking code. But the BIG PROBLEM is that I don't have an account with T-mobile. I need an unlocking code for the T-mobile Pocket PC. Can anyone please help me?? Maybe ask for me?? Thanks.

I think the unlock codes are tied to the IMEI of the device. So one unlock code won't work with another device. I suggest you sign up with T-Mobile service, email for the unlock code, and you can cancel service within 30days... But you will still have to pay 1 month's service and the activation fee.
