Hi,

I have a Buffalo WLI-PCM-LL11GP Wi-Fi card in my Netbook. Will it ever be possible to use WPA security with my netbook or am I restricted to WEP?

Is is possible to have my NetBook using WEP security and my iBook using WPA if I had an access point that was WPA capable?

You are restricted to WEP and it is unlikely that the drivers will ever be updated unfortunately.

The only way I can think this would be possible would be to use two access points linked by cable (eg. a wired+wireless router supporting WPA linked to a wireless bridge via 100/10 LAN cable with the bridge using WEP)

However, I can't see any benefit of this approach unless you set rules in the router to severely restrict the protocols available via the bridge.
