I can't sync Outlook 2000 Calendar, Contacts and Tasks with my Tungsten E at work. I have searched Palm's website for information (useless), searched various message boards (nothing found), and called Palm tech help twice with no solid answers (completely useless and frustrating).
The first tech I spoke with said to download the Outlook 2003 conduits and the HotSync update (v. 4.1.0) and that would fix the problem "guarenteed". Of course, he would not wait until I installed them because that would take too much time. These didn't fix the problem.
The second person I spoke with told me that the problem was on their end and that it's been reported recently many times, and they are developing the patch to fix this bug. (I haven't seen any information on their website noting this though and I can't find any mention of it on the message boards out there). Of course, he had no idea when it would be completed and could not give me a time frame, but said they would call me. Um, yeeaaah. And until, then my Palm is useless.
I am running Outlook 2000 & Windows 2000 and can't not upgrade these programs since I am at the mercy of work. I suppose I could purchase a 3rd party program to remedy my situation but I want to see first if anyone has suggestions or has encountered this problem.
1. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the software that came with the Palm about 15 times now.
2. I have downloaded and the "PalmOutlook101UpdateENG" update (2003 Outlook conduits) and the "HotSyncManagerUpdate_ENG" (v.4.1.0) and installed both, as instructed by the Palm techies.
3. I have not tried synching with the Palm Desktop, since I don't want to use this software anyways.
4. I can sync perfectly fine with the Memo, VersaMail, Documents to Go and any software I've downloaded (ie, Adobe Reader for OS, games, etc.).
5. This is the Log I get when I Hotsync:

I just purchased the item on 1/22/04 and now it's useless until I can fix this! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
