Has anybody else had any problems with Quick Install? I load it on, it works fine, and the next day it's gone! It's becoming a bit of a pain to keep reloading it!

It's becoming a bit of a pain to keep reloading it! cb95amc 01-30-2004, 06:05 AM I had exactly the same issue on my home PC under XP...It worked fine for ages, but suddenly one day it decided to stop. When reinstalled it it would work fine, but once I would reboot it would stop working again... Eventually gave up and just deleted it - fortunately it works fine on my work PC (also with XP). Regards Andrew appin 01-30-2004, 06:13 AM Andrew, thanks for that. You are spot on. The program works fine on my home computer (XP) but here at work (Win 2000) it keeps disappearing. I've just got a reply from palmone which suggests going into the registry (scary!) and changing things but I'm not sure if I'm brave or clever enough to go there. Alan cb95amc 01-30-2004, 09:55 AM Alan, Can you share the suggestions you had from PalmOne about editing the registry. Thanks Andrew appin 01-30-2004, 10:01 AM Andrew, Here's what they sent me. I've emailed Palm again but I'm not overly impressed so far with their responses. Ah well, I quess it's back to the filofax. Alan appin 02-17-2004, 02:28 AM Andrew, I may have found an answer! I logged on as administrator on the PC here at work and then loaded on the software. It's not been perfect (palm desktop didn't work at first!) but QuickInstall has hung around for a few days now and shows no sign of leaving! Alan PDA Street
