This is a Rumour I heard on the interet one of my friends they said that next year palmone is gonna have a palm with 600 MHZ processor and 256 MB of memory that would be a handheld this is just a rumour and do not take any responable for this statment
Someone said that it would be called the Palm Tungsten S
Kinda weird name ain't it I hope it true though for now !!

Certainly possible although I think unlikely becuase in a mojority of ways its pointless. The only app I have which streaches my 400Mhz processor is MMPlayer and everything else just doesn't need it! Its perfectly possible to overclock any current T3 to near enough 600Mhz while still running stably. I must admit I haven't tried this! If PalmOne are going to use a 600Mhz processor, you have to look at whether Intel or another processor company have actually developed 600Mhz portable processors yet, which I think they have so yes it's possbile but I think unlikely.
256Mb is probably possible too, buy again why?! I know we'd all love 256 mb in our palms but this is just an extra cost for palm who are trying to keep costs down. I guess the next pda if it has more ram, will have 128mb.
I like to keep an open mind. All the things metioned are possible, but I think if I put myself in Palm's shoes, unlikely.

Ooops I just re-read your post and you said next year (i.e. 2005 right?). Yes, I'm sure we'll get 256mb and 600mhz processor in 2005 as by then apps will be out that require this. But I still think you meant this year, in which case I think maybe not.

I don't think even PalmOne will know yet what their pdas will be like in 2005!!

Sorry about the Title I didn't know what a good title was yeah I was talking about 2005 its only a rumour and the on of the feaures of the 256 mb memory is you can put MP3 on the intereal memory !!!
