I'm a pretty simple, if extreme, Palm user. Like organization, spreadsheets, databases, PIE CHARTS (see my name!). This may be a bit dry for some of you.

I used to use a freeware app called Progect (project with a "g"). It was great, and Rick Price is a super fellow. But I wanted, of course, color with the T3, and a desktop sync that worked.

I purchased the NEW Bonsai 3.0, $34.95 including the handheld app and desktop -- and it's absolutely great. Gone are the checklists - they can be incorporated in this outline app.

Outlines from hell, basically. Quick editing on the T3, beautiful interface on the desktop, a zillion levels of detail and tuning and tweaks and preferences (I love that!), and it's STABLE!!!

I invite you all to check it out - from a grocery list to detailed book planning, to meeting structure -- whatever -- this thing is great and along with Agendus 7.04, I'm on it. Well at least the T3 is . . . . I'm slowly realizing it's quite another thing to actually PERFORM everything on the list . . . . DOHHHH!

Hello PalmTealLover,

I've realized from your post (and the previous ones) that you love to be organized. That's cool. Have you considered replacing your Agendus by ACT! ? It gives you a lot more (less color though.. ;-)
You have to shell out a few more bucks, but judging from your (most educating) posts you do it anyway.
Obviously, you can DL the demo at act.com.

I have left you 2 private messages regarding ACT!

I looked at it briefly, but all it seemed to show was a PC screen and an arrow point toward a Palm. I'd be curious about it though and will check it out after signing off here.

Thank you for the suggestion -- check your messages.

Hi!
Act is a great program! I have used the older version on my desktop for few years now.
I just got a T3, and one of the reasons for it, is to have my Act files wherever I go. I have not tried it on my Palm yet, but it looks (and according to the Act people) you can do everything that you can do on the desktop (not the case for people with Windows based OS).
I should have my T3 with the Act! for Palm in my hands by the end of the week. If you try it before, let me know how it oges?
Marek.

Hi Marek,

After you install your AFP on your PC, make sure to update it first!
See my previous post.

You're saying:
"it looks (and according to the Act people) you can do everything that you can do on the desktop."

Wrong! I've never heard this silly claim. If anybody told you that , it's a gross mispresenting.
Read or call again and if indeed this were the "official" claim - complain to ACT!.

Nevertheless, the AFP has a lot of bang.

First of all, as Gary Oldman said in "The Professional," please forgive my mood. It's been a rough morning. I appreciate EZPalm's referral to ACT!.

The site is a joke. Was before and is now. I tried again, clicking on the link in above post.

No, I DO NOT WISH to download their required "WebX Player", whatever that is, in order to see the demo in a video clip!! PalmOne don't require it, no one else does either.

If they can't use Windows MediaPlayer, QuickTime, BSPlayer or any one of the THREE OTHER PLAYERS I have, I'm not taking a 7th player (!) to make their sales pitch for them. F'em. I strongly recommend all of you that click on any box EVER that says "always trust this . . . . for . . . ." -- RUN A COMPLETE SPYWARE CHECK ON YOUR SYSTEM; they are very often spywares or at least identifying tracking softwares, the difference being spyware tracks where you go on the web, trackers often lead to those gray "popups" on your screen even if you're not on the web! There is no calling or reason to have to have "special viewing S/W" to see a PROMOTIONAL tour of something they want you to buy. Period.

Bottom Line: If it can't be done in Agendus, I'll write it on a yellow pad. If Agendus keeps getting any more "bloated" (it's now up to nearly 700k) I'll use the Palm stock datebook, which is greatly improved. For those of you who need to look at or make appointments on the Desktop and the handheld, Agendus Professional is a lot less than $200! I figure that savings will go nicely toward OS6 -- not an appointment app. Thanks anyway for the ACT! input, EZPalm, and best of luck with yours.

In their web page there's another link (right on top of Webx's) for a feature tour - no downloads of anything.
I understand your security issues - but there's no room for any alarm. My spyware app (Spybot S&D) detects nothing there.

Guess where it does!
Yup, you guessed right - there's spyware right here!
And CNet has it too.
So?
Hope you've recovered from this rough day.

Sorry to break in on the discussion here, it sounds like a great topic! But I just needed to address the previous post.

PalmBlvd does not promote or use spyware on its website, or forums. Yes, there are COOKIES which SpyBot will detect, however if you were to delete those, this forum would require you to physically login with your username everytime you visit. Therefore, to keep you 'logged in' even when you're away from your computer or not logged onto the internet, PDA Street adds a cookie to your computer simply giving you a special "code" which identifies your computer/username everytime you log onto the forums. This saves most of us time logging in that could be spent elsewhere, (like replying to a post). So, please understand that if your spyware scanner detects "spyware" from PDA Street/PalmBlvd, its just the cookie! It's there to help you, not to spy on you. I assure you that the myth that cookies can track you online is untrue.

Sorry to butt in here, but I just wanted to make sure no body misunderstood.

Carry on...

Hi mhamann,

This was something like "Park Avenue" adware (not sure about the name.) It may have been a fluke - I seldom see it here. Don't get me wrong - I don't have an "adware paranoia" - it was just stating a dry fact, in response to an "adware fear" from another site.
Next time, if it happens, I'll let you know exactly what it is.
