I have been reading this forum for a while now and I keep running across people vreating waypoints in MapSource and importing them into the iQue? I don't think I can 1)either ifnd the feature in map installer 2)have mapsource installed correctly or unlocked correctly. I did buy the iQue used so the software was already unlocked once.
The reason I am asking is that I would like to creat trips (multiple vias) on my PC and import them into the iQue. I think it would be easier on a big screen then on the iQue. I have Microsoft MapPoint and would like to use that to do this waypoint creation task. It does the "best route" calculation for you.

Thanks:confused:

The MapSource 5.4 software that is being used must be downloaded from the Garmin site and installed, it is not a part of the original software that accompanied the iQue 3600.

Check out this site http://www.garmin.com/support/download.jsp and scroll down to get the MapSource 5.4 software.

Hope this will help you.

As of today you can not transferr tracks and routes from your PC to Que, only waypoints.

We have asked Garmin to implement those habilities, which are of importance, specially for former users of GPS. They said, they are on it, so hope to see it soon.

Thanks people.

This site has been invaluable in getting me addicted to another great techy toy.

Right now, you can import waypoints from mps files, made by Mapsource. But it takes a special program, which can be downloaded from Garmin's web site.
