Hi, i've just bought a HP printer (cp1700) with an Ir port. I tried to print directly from my 3835, but all i got was a "job proccesing" message on the printer panel. Note that i tap and hold on the file i want to print and then select "beam selected file". Do i need any extra drivers or are those included in the OS?

Thanks for any help.

Yes, you do need purchased software to print. I have a 3835 and a Cannon BJC-85 printer with a built-in IR port. I use two seperate programs, one for printing Word, email and Excel files and another for printing pictures, jpg, bmp, tiff, etc. Here's a link to where you can download them. There is a 30-day trial period so you can test them first to make sure it works. I loaded the software, bought the printer, and was printing in minutes with no issues. I've had it for over a month and am very satisfied with its performance. Well worth the $ if you want printing capability.
